Unity Joins as a Patron Member of Blender Development Fund

by Eric Johnson

Recently, Unity has just became a Patron Member of Blender Development Fund.

Unity is a cross-platform game making software developed by Unity Technologies, which mainly develops video games for computers, consoles and phones.

This is another big name that joins at this top-level contributor. Along with AMD, Nvidia, and Epic Games, Unity perceives and underpins Blender as a fundamental industry device for imaginative and specialized pipelines.

What is the Blender Development Fund?

The Blender Development Fund accepts donations to support activities to provide free and open access services for all Blender contributors – including professionals and corporations – on the blender.org websites. Support activities include bug fixing, code reviews, technical documentation and onboarding.

The fund will also provide grants and subsidies to developers on generic and widely agreed development projects.
